Oktoberfest...Munich, Germany

This past weekend the hockey gods were watching over us, but actually in a different way. Jason got a phone call Friday afternoon while eating his pre-game meal that his game was canceled due to the Zamboni breaking down. So with this new found time we decided to take advantage of it and travel down to Munich for Oktoberfest. It's only like 6 hours away right!? haha Boy were we wrong, but still ended up having the time of our lives! This first picture is of Ruby the car that successfully took us to Munich! 5 people in a Golf Volkswagon for 10 hours...Yikes!

Ready for Oktoberfest, only running on about 4 hours of sleep after our long car ride down. Felt like I was getting ready for some good ol' college football tailgating waking up so early and cracking open a beer at 9am!
Raining that morning, but that didn't stop us!
Oktoberfest Tent!
Bottoms up!
German beer maid carrying about 8 steins. They make it look way too easy :)
Jason attempting to show how easy it is to hold up his 1 liter stein
Our friends Justine and Brad joined us on this trek and enjoying their first beer, or Brad's enjoying least the foam!

Love the pretzels! Even got this cute pretzel charm to hang on my necklace to remind me of this fun day!
Top view looking down on the tent. Inside the tent is just lined with picnic tables and masses of people.

Tom also joined us on this adventure and found the future Mrs. Maldonado! haha
Great pic of our table! Had a little extra space so had a few Italian guys join us who couldn't find a seat. I know, how nice are we!
Justine and me enjoying our steins!

End of the day and feeling great!
The five of us had a great day as you can see! And to top it off the boys won their first game the next day! Go Smoke Eaters :)
