Manchester United Game

In December Jason and I attended a Manchester United game against the Tottenham Hot Spurs. Tottenham is located north of London. We were able to get the tickets through one of Jason's teammates who knew a guy who was a fan of the Hot Spurs. So because he was a Tottenham fan we were sitting in the visitor's section, which made the experience different, but still very fun! We took off for Manchester around noon and arrived in Manchester in the afternoon. Before the game we went to a pub to have a few drinks.

Below is Ryan Mahrle, Matus Petricko, and Jason.

Outside the stadium there are lots of vendors selling food and Manchester gear. After the game we stopped by one to get some food for the ride home. Took us about 2-3 hours to get to Manchester.

Inside the stadium. You can see all the police officers lining the field.

Both teams line up for the start of the game. Manchester is in red and Tottenham is in white.

Another view of the full field. Such a nice place!

And another one of us :)

After the game once people left we realized that it spelled out Manchester United in the seats!

Outside the stadium

The game ended with Manchester winning 2-0. Was a great game to see, and had a good time, but would have liked to see some more goals. Unfortunately Wayne Rooney did not play for Manchester, but it was because it was a Carling Cup game, and they were saving their best players.
The opposing team had some pretty funny chants they sang through out the game, and my favorite was regarding how quiet Manchester United fans are. They would chant "Just like a library, just like a library!"haha so funny and I didn't realize what they meant at first, but once I did I thought it was so hilarious and thought, only in England :)
