Watches and Chocolate...Geneva, Switzerland

Jason and I visited Geneva, Switzerland at the beginning of April. We were fortunate enough to stay with my friend Morgan who I went to high school with. She is currently living in Geneva with her husband Marco (who's Swiss), but they just recently found out they are moving to Rome in June! Here are the three of us in a medieval French town just on the Swiss/French border.

Another view from the city over looking Lake Geneva.

There were all these cool trees throughout this town and Geneva. Morgan said they are even nicer when the flowers are blooming on them. We just missed the flowers blooming in Geneva unfortunately.

A cute little hotel over looking the lake.

Lake Geneva from the French side.

Jason and me enjoying the sun!

Trying to show that I'm half way in France and half way in Switzerland! :)

Lake Geneva with the Swiss Alps, so beautiful!

Sitting in front of the Rose Garden, but no roses yet!

Jet d'eau, huge water fountain in Lake Geneva.

Boats docked in the lake.

Another view of the lake with the city behind me.

Lake Geneva at night.

Inside Morgan's lovely apartment!

She had a nice sun porch that looked out onto the mountains.

Another view of the living room/eating area.

Huge chess board in one of the parks in Geneva. We were reenacting our days back at Sandals where they have these huge boards as well!

Jason having a good think with the great philosophers.

Posing with the cannon.
Swiss flags on the street.
View of the city from Saint Peter's Cathedral.
More views of the city.

You've probably heard how expensive Geneva is, but Morgan was able to find this little restaurant in the old town that serves you a big piece of chicken, fries, bread, and salad for a fraction of the price you'd pay elsewhere. Very good, filling, and cheap!
My brother has already commented that he doesn't like these pictures, but they're hilarious! We saw this postcard of a guy doing this and then Jason was hooked to get this same pose! Let's just say it took a few times!
Jason's shot.
The three of us down by the lake.
More of the buildings that line the lake. On top of the buildings they advertise all the watch stores located in Geneva. Morgan was nice and helped Jason pick out a watch for an early birthday gift!
They have these cool taxi boats that take people across the lake. Quicker way to travel since driving on the streets gets congested easily.

Jason and I had a wonderful time with Morgan and Marco, and we both just want to thank them again for sharing their home with us while we were there. We had a great time, and hope that we can return the favor next year!
