Geordies and Scots...Newcastle upon Tyne & Edinburgh

We met up with my parents actually in Paris where they had a long layover, but then flew out the same day back to Newcastle. The next day we took them into town where they could see Newcastle. For lunch we took them to this sushi restaurant inside Fenwicks where the dishes move along a conveyor belt and you just pick up what you want to eat.

Inside Castle Keep, Mom was too cool to pose!

Down by the beach
On the train up to Edinburgh Scotland. By the way this is day 2 for my parents and no luggage! My mom is sporting one of Jason's Under Armor shirts under her jacket and my dad has one of Jason's sweaters on!haha
Edinburgh Castle and Double Decker bus
Inside the Whiskey Experience. Jason and I were excited to bring my dad to this since he enjoys Jack Daniels, but turns out it's my mom that really enjoys Scottish Whiskey, or at least smelling it!haha
Sorry for the glare, but here we are enjoying our different types of Scottish Whiskey. Let's just say it's a little more difficult to drink these down than a rum and coke! But we all helped drink them down even Mamasita!
Posing with a Scottish bag piper on the street on our way to dinner!
Next day we enjoyed a nice English breakfast at the train station. Two eggs, sausage, baked beans, fried tomato, and toast, yummy!

At this point of our trip the volcano had erupted and our flight over to Amsterdam was cancelled. So we decided to take the train back to Newcastle where we then were able to book tickets to take the ferry from Newcastle over to Amsterdam.
