Paella and Tapas...Barcelona, Spain

After Geneva Jason and I headed over to Barcelona Spain where we spent the next two days. Here is our lovely hostel we stayed at. May not be much, but it did the job!

View from our room

Barcelona is heavily influenced by an architect named Gaudi, here is one of his buildings on Passeig de Gracia.

In front of the fountain at Placa de Catalunya.

La Rambla, the main drag in Barcelona

On La Rambla there are lots of street performers. Here is one juggling a soccer ball as a Barcelona footballer.

More performers

This guy was one of the coolest!

This picture is for you Lea! So if you ever decide to go to Spain come to Barcelona where you know you can find a good cup of coffee! :)

We found this market on La Rambla that sold fresh food: fruits veggies, fish, meats, anything you wanted they sold, and cheap!

The lobsters were still alive and moving on the ice!

Enjoying a smoothie

Best kiwi we've ever had, hands down!

Mirador de Colon. Bronze statue celebrating Columbus's discovery of the New World, except that it's pointing East to the Mediterranean and not West to the Atlantic.

Looking down at the streets of Barcelona from the Mirador de Colon.

Walking down to the marina of Barcelona.

Down by all the boatsWe found this mall and saw the Target sign, but not the right Target. Boo!

Holy Mother of Happiness

Inside the Cathedral there was a beautiful courtyard with geese!

On our way up to Parc Guell via escalator...Yes! Also designed by Antoni Gaudi
So excited we finally made it to the top. View of Barcelona from the top

Taking a picture with the flowers on our hike up to Montjuic
After like a 20min straight up hike we finally made it up to the top. Another great view.
Castle at the top

Olympic Stadium from the 1992 Summer Olympics. Very sad, but they don’t use any of the buildings there anymore and it just sits there!
Another view of the Olympic Stadium

Swimming Pool
Telefonica, the white statue
On our way back down Jason wanted to pose with this Olympic statue
Beautiful stairway down from Olympic Stadium, but we took the escalator down! haha We walked a lot that day, give us a break!
